We are proud to be part of yet another landmark infrastructure project—the Haji Malang Funicular Tramway in Maharashtra, India's longest funicular tramway, spanning 1.2 kilometres. Designed to transform the pilgrimage experience, the ropeway replaces the challenging ascent of more than 2,500 steps with a safe and convenient journey of just 7 to 10 minutes.
The system operates with 50 mm diameter Powerform 6, compacted wire ropes, specially designed and manufactured by Usha Martin. Engineered for high strength, superior fatigue resistance, enhanced flexibility, ensuring critical load-bearing components for safe and reliable performance under demanding operating conditions. Through our contribution to this iconic mobility project, Usha Martin continues to demonstrate its commitment to enabling world-class infrastructure through advanced wire rope solutions.
