At Usha Martin, sustainability is driven by measurable action, responsible manufacturing and a continued focus on reducing our environmental footprint. As part of our efforts to increase the use of renewable energy, we are generating 4 MW of solar power through a rooftop solar plant at our Ranchi manufacturing unit. The plant has been developed in collaboration with Tata Power Solar, marking a significant step towards cleaner energy adoption.
Equipped with 620 Wp N-Type Bi-Facial Modules and TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) technology, the rooftop solar plant is designed to support efficient and reliable renewable power generation. The plant is expected to generate a minimum of 50 lakh units of clean electricity annually. It will also help avoid approximately 4,125 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year, contributing meaningfully to our sustainability goals.

This initiative will increase the share of renewable energy in our operations while reducing dependence on conventional power sources. By integrating renewable energy into our manufacturing operations, Usha Martin is taking concrete steps towards improving energy efficiency and reducing its environmental footprint. The project further strengthens our commitment to advancing responsible and more sustainable manufacturing practices.
