In association with Jharkhand Government Tool Room, our CSR wing i.e. Usha Martin Foundation, had taken a new initiative to impart various training programs to women in the rural areas, in the state of Jharkhand. The training emphasised on exploring opportunities in tailoring and fashion designing with a mission that ‘self-reliant women will make a self-reliant village’. Candidates who participated were delighted with the sessions conducted in the training and expressed how important the event had been to guide them towards a new direction of livelihood. Certificates were awarded to the candidates on successful completion of all the sessions, imparted in the training program.
This initiative has been taken to empower the women in villages with a focus on their sustainable livelihood. By empowering the homemakers, our ultimate aim is to increase the family income and knowledge, which in terms will add happiness and gradual development in their life. This capacity building measure also helps villages to become self-reliant and eventually, strengthening our nation too.
