Usha Martin’s OCEANFIBRE HMPE slings are now in operation at the Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm in the Baltic Sea, approximately 40 km offshore Ustka, Poland, in collaboration with Van Oord. Manufactured by Brunton Shaw UK, these high-performance slings combine high strength with lightweight construction, offering a reliable and efficient solution for demanding offshore lifting operations.
The deployment highlights the role of advanced fibre-based lifting solutions in supporting safe and efficient operations in challenging marine environments. The project also reflects Usha Martin’s commitment to engineering excellence and developing innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the global renewable energy sector.
Each OCEANFIBRE heavy-lift sling is designed, manufactured and tested in-house, with third-party verification to ensure high standards of safety and reliability. This milestone further strengthens our capabilities and experience in supporting large-scale offshore wind projects.
